Literature Text

How I
Survived”

Elementary
school, time to learn

Bullies,
their words, and how they burn

Pushes and
shoves, no one showing love.

Teasing and
rumors fly

Making me
want to just die.

Tyrants they
are; just how far

Will they go
to destroy me?

One day I
moved from them,

Seventh grade
it was;

I left behind
the fear.

I made myself
a promise.

No longer
would I live in fear of bullies.

Faced with a
group of girls encircling me

I threw down
my books, and up came my fists.

Ready to take
them all on, I bounced up and down,

Saying “Come
on, come on, come on, come on!!!”

They all
paused, and they all began to laugh.

The group
broke up still laughing,

And never
again did they bother me.

I moved
around a lot,

And
everywhere I went my craziness came with.

It was my
rock, it was my mortar.

It kept me
alive, it kept me kicking.

They all knew
not to mess with me,

As I was the
unpredictable one.

If I gotta go
down, you're coming with me.

And that's
how I lived and survived

My crazy
teenage years.
